On Sunday, December 4, 2022, 2-4 pm, we held our annual Christmas on Meadow Lane event at the Life Development Center. This Christmas Extravaganza was simply amazing! It exceeded all of our expectations. Over 100 people attended this holiday event. The LDC was transformed into a Winter Wonderland! The Extravaganza included a Santa’s Route that featured Performing Artists in the Minerva Hall, a visit with Santa Claus, Mr. Walter Wortham in Santa’s Workshop in the Fellowship Hall and Art submitted by elementary and high school students in “Wonderful World of Art”. We were fortunate to have in attendance, professional artist, Mr. Lynn Garrett. Our Board Room elegantly displayed over twenty (20) pieces of Mr. Garrett’s art. Delta Incorporated continued the tradition of promoting literary by giving free books to the attendees in grades K-12. The Performing Artists below received $100 for their outstanding performances.

- Ms. Valerie Harris – Miles College Choir Director
Students from Green Acres Middle School, Chelsea Middle School and Huffman High School competed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in our art competition. Misses Nyona and SaNiya McWherter received $100 for 1st Place. Miss Jamiyah Wilson received $75 for 2nd Place and Mr. Rasheed Johnson received $65 for 3rd place. All other participants received $25 participation fee. Mr. Lynn Garrett received an honorarium of $100 for allowing us to display his beautiful art.
